Our central focus is the generation and application of cutting edge research aimed at understanding the impact of multiple environmental signals on plant and ecosystem productivity. This approach has provided new understanding of growth capacity and plant resilience in a changing environment. Engineers and plant scientists are developing enabling low cost open access tools that quantify plant growth and yield traits. Climate change and crop scientists are combining advanced sensing and information technology to guide crop yield management. Our integrative approach has enabled us to develop models at different scales that can predict molecular, whole plant or field level responses to a changing environment.
